Health issues surrounding at-risk paediatric populations require distinctly thorough and specific type of healthcare practices, due to the large array of health discrepancies present. Paediatric populations including refugees, rural Australians and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander present with complications, healthcare barriers and other challenges that highlight the large gap present in our healthcare system.
So, UQPaeds would like to thank all who attended our inaugural Vulnerable Childhood Populations seminar! This seminar highlighted the important issues regarding the aforementioned at-risk populations, and how the healthcare industry can take action to update their clinical practices with the aim of closing the gap in health equality.
